Help for CHWC and Pray for Greg Stivers

Greg Stivers was supposed to pull a trailer full of gear to Charleston for Catholic Heart Work Camp. 

However, his house burned down last night - needless to say, he can't go.

Ann Marie asked if any other faith-filled men that might be able to step in - Can you or anyone you might know, be able to go to Charleston next week (Sunday 7/16 - Friday 7/21)?

July 4, 9:00 AM!

Gentlemen, we are fortunate - blessed -  it's upon us once again, one of our few annual performances where we are asked to lead the congregation at Mass - July 4.

Allen Bean will be including James River Brass to accompany him on the organ.

The Knights of Columbus, as has been its tradition, will be presenting the colors.

Here's hoping you will join "The Gentlemen of St. Bridget" to sing at Mass Tuesday, July 4th, for the 9:00 AM liturgy (two weeks from today). We'll wear our standard navy blazer/white shirt/red tie/gray slacks. Allen asks that we gather at 8:30 AM for a quick warm up.

Gents sing! Saint & Sinners Thursday June 8

Gents, this note below from John McCulla re the annual rite: singing for SBC's Saints & Sinners, 6/8/17 (Thursday evening) @ 5:00 PM. Dress will be summer sporty/casual.

Please email Wayne at sloughwm@vcu.edu indicating whether you will be able to join in. As you'll see from John's note, your spouses are welcome!

The Saints and Sinners would be very pleased if the Gentlemen of St. Bridget join them again at their Annual "Spring Into Summer" Dinner that will take place on Thursday, June 8th at 5:00 pm.  The theme for the dinner this year is "A Traditional Summer Church Picnic."  Allen Bean has this on his schedule and is thinking about songs for our group to sing that fits this theme. 

I would think that Allen would want all choristers to arrive about 5:00, wet their whistle with a cold bottle of IPA, and then practice at 5:30.  Dinner  will be served at 6:00, and our entertainment would take place as dessert is being served and enjoyed - say about 6:40. 

Of course the gents are encouraged to bring their brides!  It is truly an enjoyable evening!
