Hello Everyone!

Will you please consider volunteering this year? I’ve had many folks say yes already – thank you!!!!
Email John at jkmcculla@comcast.net to volunteer!
If you’ve volunteered before, just tell me to confirm your spot from last year or tell me where you would like to volunteer!
If you haven’t volunteered before, it is a lot of fun! Just tell me if I can assign you, or tell me where you’d like to help!
Thank you so much, and I really appreciate all your support! The funds go to the scholarships the Knights of Columbus give to two St. Bridget youth going on to catholic high school!

Note: All activities on the Pilgrimage are optional. You are of course free to do as little or as much as you like. The time between 10-12 Noon is specifically set aside and can be spent by going to the nearby Shrine of Saint John Paul II ( presumably a vehicle will be available if not amenable to walking), Confession, visit to the Bookstore/Gift shop, or simply spent in private prayer or further exploring the Shrine.
12 Noon Gather at the Crypt Church for Holy Mass. Immediately following the Mass, the Stations of the Cross are prayed in the Crypt Church.
After Stations of the Cross (approximately 1:30)
Depart Shrine and head to local pub for luncheon ( drivers are treated ).
3:00 p.m. Depart for Richmond
We currently have 19 folks signed up from St. Bridget, but I only have 2 land yacht drivers enlisted (Charlie and Tony). So, probably need 1 or 2 more SUV’s to volunteer. The St. Edward group is joining us again, but they are driving themselves.
Email Mike at CKoz654@aol.com to let him know you plan on going or if you can drive!

Overview

This year’s theme, “Truly Present,” will explore Jesus’ presence to us and our call to be present in all our relationships in the world as husband, father, brother, and friend. Hans Urs Von Balthasar, a Swiss theologian from the 20th century, writes, “If you live near a waterfall, after a week, you’ll no longer hear its rumble. In the same way, we have forgotten how to listen” how to be truly present, both to God and to each other (Heart of the World).
This year will feature a dual-track conference with keynote speakers in English and Spanish, breakout opportunities, Reconciliation, Adoration, and Mass. Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers will be the keynote speaker for the English-speaking track.
Registration Cost
The $40 early-bird admission cost is available until February 1, 2018. Additionally, all permanent deacons who register by that time will receive $10 off their registration. After February 1, 2018 general registration will be available online for $55 until March 10, 2018. After that point, registration will only be available at the door for $60. As always, the conference is free for priests and religious brothers.
